1. Who may use DesiInVidesi
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms. If you use DesiInVidesi for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for that business, and “you” includes it.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. Give us accurate information and keep it current. One person, one account.
3. What you post
You own what you post. You give DesiInVidesi a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and distribute it in order to run and promote the service, including showing your listings and businesses on the site, in search and in emails to members, for as long as it is published and for a reasonable time afterwards in backups. You promise that you have the right to post it and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
Do not post anything that is illegal, fraudulent, misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, infringing, or that collects other members’ information without permission. Do not spam, scrape, probe or interfere with the site. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report unlawful activity.
4. Business listings and websites
A business listing, and any website you publish through DesiInVidesi, is yours to keep accurate: your prices, hours, services, licences and claims. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your trade, for the taxes on what you sell, and for honouring the offers you publish to members. Some listings are reviewed before they go live; we may decline or remove a listing at our discretion. A web address on DesiInVidesi is assigned to your business while your listing or subscription is active and may be released when it is not.
5. Orders, bookings and enquiries
When a member orders food or goods, books a consultation, buys a ticket or sends an enquiry through the site, the contract is between the member and that business. DesiInVidesi passes the order along and shows its status; it is not the seller, does not prepare or deliver the goods and is not a party to the sale. Payment terms, delivery, cancellations and refunds for such orders are the business’s own, as shown at the time of ordering. Event tickets are sold by the organiser, who sets the refund policy.
Third-party ticketing. DesiInVidesi currently lists and promotes events but does not sell or process event tickets. A paid event’s “Buy Tickets” button takes you to an external website chosen by the organiser (for example a ticketing service or the organiser’s own site), where you complete the purchase under that website’s terms. All payments, ticket delivery and confirmations, cancellations, changes and refunds are handled by the organiser or that ticket provider. DesiInVidesi is not the seller, is not a party to those transactions, does not receive the ticket money and does not control or guarantee third-party ticketing services. Organisers who list an event confirm that they are authorised to list it and to share its ticket link, and that the event and its details are accurate. We may remove ticket links or events that appear unsafe, misleading or fraudulent; please use “Report this event” if something looks wrong.
6. Memberships, promotions and subscriptions
Paid features (the Premier membership, featured placements, website plans, lead plans and similar) are described, with their price and term, where you buy them. Payments are processed by Stripe. Recurring plans renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep the benefit until the end of the paid period. Prices may change for the next term with notice. Unless the law or the offer says otherwise, fees are not refunded for part of a term. Member offers at partner businesses are provided by those businesses, usually once per member per business, and may change or end.
7. Our content and marks
The DesiInVidesi name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may use the site as intended; you may not copy, resell or build a competing service from it.
8. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we must close by law, and we may stop or change a feature. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as licences to published content, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive the end of your account.
9. Disclaimers
DesiInVidesi is provided “as is”. We do not vet every member, business or listing, and we make no promise about the accuracy of what others post, the quality of goods or services a business provides, or that the site will always be available or error-free. Nothing on the site is legal, immigration, financial, medical or astrological advice; professionals listed here are independent and responsible for their own advice.
10. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, DesiInVidesi is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the site, from dealings between members, or from content posted by others. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as permitted.
11. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you posted, sold or did on the site, you will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
12. Disputes and law
If you have a problem, write to us first and we will try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which DesiInVidesi is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the consumer law where you live gives you a different right.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. Using the site after that means you accept them.
