The program
Desi In Videsi lets a host create an invitation for a private event (a birthday, a housewarming, a get-together) and invite guests they personally know. When a guest opens their invitation link and chooses to opt in, Desi In Videsi may send that guest text messages about that host’s event — the invitation and event reminders. These are one-to-one, host-initiated event messages. This is not marketing or promotional texting.
How you opt in
On the web RSVP page for an invitation, there is an optional, unchecked box that reads:
“I agree to receive SMS invitations and event reminders from Desi In Videsi. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. View Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.”
You are opted in only if you tick that box yourself and submit it with your phone number. We do not send a text to ask you to opt in, and we never add a number that did not opt in here. For a step-by-step walkthrough of the opt-in flow, see our SMS Opt-In Process page.
What you’ll receive & how often
- Your invitation link for the event you were invited to.
- A small number of reminders about that event (for example, the day before).
Message frequency varies by event and host. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan; Desi In Videsi does not charge you for the messages.
Opting out — reply STOP
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages unless you opt in again.

Carriers & delivery
Supported carriers include the major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device.
Privacy
We keep your SMS consent separate from any other consent. We do not sell your phone number or share it for anyone else’s marketing. For the full detail of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these SMS Terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
